J. Cole Disses Diggy and Vanessa Simmons

Who would want to pick with Lil’ Diggy Simmons? Ask J. Cole. The rapper has been stirring up a pot of beef and spoon feeding it to Rev. Run’s son since February.  J. Cole dropped a track on Twitter titled ‘Grew Up Fast’ mentioning young Simmons and claims it was not a diss record but Cole’s 2 million followers may beg to differ after hearing:

“Move along cock-sucker, ain’t got nothing to see,
‘less you talking blockbuster, you n-ggas is not Russell
You more Diggy, Me, I’m more Biggie
No diss to the young boy, I’m just rapping, get bored quickly”

Diggy wasn’t taking J. Cole putting his name in his mouth lightly and released his own diss track asking Cole, ‘What You Say To Me’. The verse revealed more than we could get from Twitter, Diggy referenced he was pissed about Cole subliminally rapping that he slept with his sister, Vanessa Simmons on a track called ‘Purple Rain’:

 “The other day I was listening to Purple Rain, couldn’t believe all of the things that I heard em say
Who dat, who dat, you know who it is, heard you lying on my sis, tellin people that you hit
When your album drops I’ma hit you with your bricks, so I’ma bomb first on you since you wanna riff

Allegedly, Vanessa Simmons and J. Cole met as Communication majors at St. John’s University. According to Cole, things between them got hot and heavy on campus, running Vanessa’s good “girl image” through the mud and calling her a freak:
